This is how you get to Lunge Lodge.
We have tried to cover the routes you’re most likely to take when driving to Lunge Lodge! If you are confused or need any clarification, please call 1-705-763-2317.
Riverview Marina
Your ultimate destination is the pickup area at Riverview Marina(shown below).
Upon your arrival, you and all your gear will be ferried to Lunge Lodge by boat.
GPS
The best and most effective means of getting directions is to use GPS, either in your vehicle or on your smartphone.
On your device set “Riverview Marina Ontario” as the destination and follow the directions.
East from Highway 69
If you are driving on Highway 69, also known as the 400 Extension, you will exit the highway at Highway 64 and drive east.
From Sudbury: take Highway 69 south to Highway 64.
From Toronto: take Highway 400 North to Barrie
- After you drive through Barrie, turn right and exit onto Highway 69(400 Extension) and continue north to Highway 64 where you will exit and travel east. (See image above for directions from Highway 69.) You will need to be careful going through this area. If you continue straight up Highway 11, you will go through Muskoka and eventually end up in North Bay. (See image below for directions from North Bay.)
If driving east from Highway 69, once you arrive in Noelville, Highway 64 turns 90 degrees to your right at the church.
This town is called Noelville and it’s your last chance to pick up anything you might need before heading into the Lodge. There is a gas station, beer store, and a grocery store there.
Once you leave Noelville, continue on 64 east about 7 miles and you will see Dokis Reserve Road on your right.
West from North Bay
When you arrive in North Bay on Highway 11, you will need to continue onto Highway 17 (Trans Canada Highway). North Bay may be a good place for you to stock up on any supplies you’ll need.
At the intersection of Highways 11 and 17, you will go west and travel for approximately 53 Km to the Town of Verner where you will turn left onto Highway 64 and continue to the Dokis Reserve Road which is on your left after you pass through North Monetville.
Dokis Reserve Road.
At this point, please call the Lodge 1-705-763-2317 and let us know that you have made it to the dirt road (Dokis Reserve Road).
From there you have 17 miles of maintained gravel road to navigate.
Slow down and take it easy at this point. If you have a boat cover, it’s a good idea to put it on and avoid your boat being coated in dirt, dust and/or mud.
Shortly after turning onto the Dokis Reserve Road you’ll come to an intersection. Follow the road to the right.
Shortly after that turn, you will come upon another intersection – turn right (you’ll see signs for Riverview Marina and Riverview Cottages).
Continue on this road until you come upon the Dokis police station and then a church.
Immediately after the church turn left onto Charlie’s Bay Road.
Follow this road until you come up to Riverview Cottages and Marina on your right(as shown above).
Turn right there and immediately turn left towards the office and boat ramp.
I will be there at the ramp/marina waiting for you.
